Did you know that chives are a rich source of vitamin K, C and folic acid, manganese, magnesium, iron and quercetin, a heart-protecting antioxidant? Naturally found all over the world, Chives are one of the most delicious and nutritious herbs. Often used in European cuisines for its sweet and savory pungent flavor, chives pair very well in salads, dressings or condiments. The plant is fast-growing and perennial, meaning it can be continuously harvested.  Chives will take about 8 weeks to fully mature, but it is recommended that the plant is harvested beforehand. Some recipes that use chives are cheese and chive sourdough biscuit and spicy chive oil.
